This week in life science we are doing a project that allows students to create a field guide. The purpose of this project is to see if they can classify organisms from domain to species, scientifically illustrate, and write descriptions of the organisms that allow others to identify the life form from their field guide. This is a summative activity for our study of taxonomy.
In physical science we are going to be studying about work, power, and machines.
This week in RR; 1st period English We continue to read the book The Giver. The students are really enjoying this novel. They are excited when they have the opportunity to independently read it. Next week we are going to work on a compare contrast essay, between life in The Community and life in Harrisburg. 7th period English worked on a Christmas narrative, that they started before the break. They wrote these stories in groups and have enjoyed the process.
