This week in 8th grade science I am going to have students design a super hero with 4 forces. Then we will look at the four forces of nature and see how a super hero might use them to interact with their world. From here we will begin to investigate balanced and unbalanced forces.
In the 7th grade we are going to build a concept map using vocabulary associated with the human body systems. One of my goals is to have students create mind maps using vocabulary, definitions, and illustrations to interpret what we are learning.
By the way our catapult lab was fantastic. Students built and re-engineered their catapults to toss that cotton ball a really long distance.
